Ugga privacy policy

Ugga is a game by Spaghetti Code, Portorož, Slovenia. There are no player accounts, ads or advertising trackers. You can play without sharing scores.

On your device

Ugga stores your progress, settings, nickname, sharing preference, blocked-player list and a random installation identifier locally. Clearing app data removes that local save. Your operating system may back up and restore app data depending on your settings. Blocks stay on this installation; they are not sent to our server.

Optional online scores

Score sharing starts off, including for existing players upgrading to this version. In Settings → Name & leaderboard, you can accept the player rules and enable sharing. When enabled, completed normal-difficulty free and daily runs with at least one delivery send the following over HTTPS to api.ugga.gg:

The server records submission time, the accepted rules version and when that acceptance was last acknowledged. Your nickname, rank, copter, deliveries and level are public. Public results include opaque player and score references so people can report or block entries. Your private installation identifier is never included in public results.

Opening the leaderboard sends your installation identifier only while sharing is enabled, to show your rank. You can browse with sharing off. Turning sharing off stops future score submissions; it does not remove earlier entries. Easy, hard and sandbox runs never submit scores.

Reports and moderation

Reporting is optional and has its own confirmation. A report sends the selected player and score references, a reason, the accepted rules version and your installation identifier. We keep a cryptographic hash of that identifier, the reported nickname, references, reason, timestamps and review outcome. We use these records to review names and prevent duplicates and abuse. Reports are not public and are not sent to the other player.

We may hide a player's offending names or restrict their submissions. We keep unresolved reports until reviewed. Resolved reports are removed after 90 days by a daily cleanup; name restrictions remain until reversed or the player's data are deleted. Players can contact support to appeal.

Retention and deletion

Scores and associated player records remain until deletion is requested. To request removal of your scores and report data, email [email protected]. Settings → Name & leaderboard → My data & support shows your private support code and an email link. Keep that code private. If you no longer have it, contact us with your nickname and approximate score details; we may need more information to identify the right records.

Uninstalling or clearing local data does not delete server records. Turn sharing off to avoid submitting more scores after a deletion. Server backups retain the seven most recent daily snapshots; deleted data may remain until those snapshots rotate out. Deletion requests must be reapplied before restoring a backup to service.

Network requests expose IP addresses and request metadata to our hosting infrastructure, where they may appear in access logs. We use hosting services to operate the game and leaderboard. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Emailing support also gives us the address and information you include, which we use to respond to your request.

Motion and audio

Tilt steering reads device orientation locally; these readings are not stored or uploaded. Voice clips are bundled game sounds. Ugga does not access your microphone.

Audience

Ugga is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over, and is not directed at children under 13. Do not put a real name or personal information in your nickname. Online records can be associated with the same installation over time even without an account.
